- You will also have to decide on the number of holes you want in the sink. Ordinarily sinks come with four holes – for the hot water, cold water, faucet and for the shower. - There should be complete fit between your sink and the place where you want it installed. You can choose between a self rimming sink and an undermounted sink. The water also can create an annoying drumming sound. The stainless steel should not stain or scratch and should be easy to clean. Don’t buy mirror type stainless steel sink. They get dirty fast.
Enameled cast iron sink: This a very attractive as well as a very durable sink. It comes in a variety of colors. The drumming of water on it is damped. The water in such a sink stays hot longer and cleaning it is very easy.Integrated sinks: These are sinks that are integrated with the countertop and made of the same material. Though such sinks are easily scratched they can be nicely repaired as well. The downside of such sinks is that whenever you want to change the sink, the counter too has to be changed.
